A very unique feature of CHIMC is its Student's Council which is created and runs under a constitution. The Council is constituted with a view to give autonomy to the students in managing the affairs of the Institute. Students partner in the decision making process of the Institute, especially when it comes to their own affairs outside of University-governed Curriculum involving extra and co-curricular activities. Moreover the students get hands-on exposure of managing an event a set of people and limited resources.
From presentation contests to quizzes to management games to debates to presentations all such academic activities are arranged by the council. The council committees also handles all cultural and sports activities.
The institute also has management function clubs- Marketing, Finance, and HR. These clubs organize workshops, quizzes, talk shows, film shows, management games which evoke huge response from the students.
Life at CHIMC is just not about subject learning. Infect it is also lot of fun. Various extra-curricular activities offer students a platform to exhibit and hone their talents. Activities like CHIMC day, Hindi Literary Week, colour week, ethnic attire week and so on dot the entire calendar. However some of the major activities which become the talk of the town are :
Sports Festival 'SPIRIT' :
For 4 days every year CHIMC-ians forget their studies and don the caps of sportsmen. The sports ground becomes the learning ground for the young professionals.
Annual Function 'Ecstasy' :
Management games, Treasure hunt, and many other such activities punctuate the annual function which finally culminates into a gala cultural show evening.
Annual Magazine: 'Pratidhwani' :
The annual magazine is the voice of chimcians and brings out the writers, poets and critics from them
Social Help projects are managed by students under 'CHIMC feels' banner. Students organize blood donation camps, city cleaning, literacy campaigns and social awareness drives.
